PETG

Properties

Polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PETG) is a variant of PET (Polyethylene terephthalate). PET It is the most common thermoplastic polymer resin of the polyester family. PETG is tough, temperature-resistant, and highly impact-resistant plastic often used in FDM 3D printing, automotive and aeronautical sectors, as well as other industrial applications.

How it's made: It is made from ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid. Ethylene glycol is made of ethylene (made from natural gas) and terephthalic acid comes from p-xylene made from crude oil.
