Metal Filled Filament
Properties
- Metallic finish
- can be more brittle than the base polymer
Description
These filaments contain metal powders (e.g., bronze, copper, stainless steel) and can be polished or finished to create an inexpensive, metal-looking 3D prints for artistic or functional purposes. The added weight in metal filaments can cause it to droop when bridging or printing overhangs. The materials can be more brittle making them sometimes unsuitable for load-bearing applications. The metal content can also make them more abrasive.
