Rhino 3D

Basics

Official site:

Rhino3D is a very flexible 3D modeling program. It is used to design architecture, jewelry, shoes, and many other crafts. It does have a bit of a higher learning curve. It is command-line based, meaning most users type in commands for each action. For example, typing circle and pressing enter begins the process of drawing a circle.

It also comes with Grasshopper, a powerful parametric design tool that extends Rhino into a computational design tool.
