Ways to Make at Jacobs

  1. Maker Pass: A semester pass that gives you in-person access to the Jacobs maker space and all of its tools. This is the primary way people use Jacobs.
    • Maker Pass Status: Check here whether your Maker Pass registration is complete. If not, it will show what steps still need to be completed.
    • Online Training Videos: For some equipment, video training is enough to get started.
    • **Training Spreadsheet**: The schedule of hands-on training sessions listed in one place. bCourses tends to hide the ones that are full. It is common that someone else does not show up so show up to one that is full.
  2. Jacobs Project Support (JPS): Started during the COVID-19 Pandemic, JPS allows one to submit a job to us and pick it up when it's finished.
  3. Self-Service Printing (3D PrinterOS): All current Berkeley staff, faculty, and students have access to our remote 3D printing service. The cost of materials is reasonable - you will be billed for material costs at the end of each semester. Finished prints can be picked up at Jacobs Hall.
